The entire school is in English medium.
Discipline is the back-bone of development in all spheres of life. It has a special significance in education. It is desired of students to maintain discipline inside the classroom and outside. The self-imposed discipline inside the classroom and outside is to be maintained. The self-imposed discipline in behaviour punctuality, dress, neatness and respect for others is expected from a student of National Public School.
Students are expected to conduct themselves with dignity, modesty and simplicity.
Students are expected to show due respect to the teaching staff, behave properly towards fellow students and be courteous to the office staff and also to the visitors who come from outside.
Students must converse in English in and around the campus. Serious notice will be taken to the students found loitering outside during class hours.
Use of mobile phones in class rooms, library and laboratories as well as in hostel is strictly prohibited.
Disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty of causing damage to school property.
Students must make it a point to look up the notice board daily.
At least 80% attendance is required for students from Grade I to VIII, and 85% for IX to XII, to be eligible to appear for examinations.
Students should arrive at school 10 minutes before the scheduled time and report for morning assembly punctually.
There shall be 4 Monthly Progressive Tests, 2 Periodic Tests and 2 Term Examinations during an academic session. Retest shall not be allowed to students (absent for any reason) missing any test.
No weightage shall be given to any student (due to any reason) for absence from any formative test or summative examination or annual examination.
Promotion to the next class shall be granted on the basis of an integrated result based on the Following weightage.
A student has to secure at least 40% marks in the integrated result in each subject for promotion to the next class and 45% marks in the aggregate.
Pre-Board examinations are conducted in the month of November to January every year for class X and XII students only to assess their standard before they appear for CBSE exams in that year.
The school has a rich library and NPSians have regular library periods to inculcate the Habit of reading in them. Every year a large number of books are being added to update our collection of books. For boys of senior classes, we maintain a suitable set of books to add to their knowledge in different fields. There are two qualified librarians to cater to the students.
It also has well-developed computer laboratories for the pupils from Class V to Class XII. Internet facility is also available to the senior students. The computer Laboratory has been extended and now we have a separate computer laboratory for the Senior Secondary Students.
School has adopted Automatic School Management System through NIRALs APP. Report Card Generation, Attendance report have been made online and integrated SMS and Circular facility has been started. Now vital information goes to students through SMS time to time.
Keeping latest development in the education field in mind, school has introduced smart class Facility. It will help the students to learn through interaction method.
The school has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics
A good combination of indoor as well as outdoor games in the school ensures a balanced development of the students. Sports tournaments are held from time to time. The students get regular opportunities for playing games which is a fixed and regular part of their time table. A separate hall for indoor games like Table – Tennis, Chess, Carrom with all the needed facilities and a playground for different outdoor games ensures and sustains the participation of the student’s curriculum and is given much stress for their all-round development.
A Doctor, with experience and qualification has been appointed as the Medical Officer visits the hostel regularly. Two Permanent nurse staffs are allotted for immediate Medical check-up of students. Every Student’s medical history is recorded then and there. Parents/ Local guardians are informed if the child needs special medical attention. Well-equipped First-Aid box is available in the office round the clock and students sustaining minor injuries in course of training, sports or games are attended immediately. One vehicle of the school remains on standby duty to face any emergency.
A whole time master tailor is employed for making school uniform. He/She also repairs clothes of the students.
Bus facilities are available if required. This facility may not be withdrawn in between the session. Parents are requested to send their children bus-stop at least 10 minutes before in the morning and collect them from their same stoppage in the afternoon / evening. The bus-stop of the respective route is fixed by the transport department. Student availing bus facility is expected to continue for the whole session.
